What are CRISP Scored Mangroves (CRISP-M)?
CRISP Scored Mangroves (CRISP-M) is a token created by Solid World to enable forward-selling of upcoming carbon credits for mangrove restoration projects. Carbon project developers often face challenges in financing their projects as the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) provides carbon credits retroactively, requiring significant upfront costs. CRISP-M allows developers to sell these future credits at a discount, with the discount increasing the further away the credits are from delivery. One CRISP-M represents the value of one ton of mangrove restoration-based carbon credits at maturity, and it can be exchanged 1:1 for the underlying supply. The discount is vested to the token's liquidity providers as the forward credits approach maturity, creating a sustainable source of liquidity incentives. All projects undergo Solid World's CRISP Framework to mitigate risks and ensure quality. The system functions as a decentralized warehouse for climate finance, connecting buyers and sellers across time.
