Port Finance is a decentralized Money Market protocol on Solana, aiming to provide a full suite of lending products including but not limited to: variable rate lending, fixed rate lending, and interest rate swaps. The platform utilizes Solana's high throughput and low latency to enable users to borrow more money with the same collateral compared to Ethereum alternatives. By building on Solana, Port Finance can leverage Serum's order book to implement more complex financial products not currently available on Ethereum. It was one of the award-winning projects at the recent Solana Hackathon and is among the few Solana projects with a live product on the mainnet. The token launch and listing on CEX and DEX occurred on August 9th. The token's utilities include governance voting and a buy and burn mechanism using borrowing fees accrued to the platform. The private sale was valued at $30 million, with 15% released at TGE and the rest vested over 12 months. The seed round was valued at $20 million, with 10% released at TGE and the rest vested over 18 months. The total token supply is 100 million, with an initial market cap of $616,000.
