Is it possible to use the same bip39 passphrase for multiple cryptocurrency wallets? I'm concerned about the security implications and whether it's a recommended practice. Can someone please clarify?

- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoUsing the same bip39 passphrase for multiple cryptocurrency wallets is not recommended. Each wallet should have its own unique passphrase for security reasons. If you use the same passphrase for multiple wallets and one of them gets compromised, all your wallets will be at risk. It's best to generate a unique passphrase for each wallet to ensure maximum security.
- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoNo, you should not use the same bip39 passphrase for multiple cryptocurrency wallets. It's like using the same key for multiple locks. If one lock is compromised, all the others will be vulnerable too. It's always better to have separate passphrases for each wallet to minimize the risk of losing all your funds.
- Dec 26, 2021 · 3 years agoAccording to BYDFi, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, it is highly recommended to use different bip39 passphrases for each cryptocurrency wallet. This ensures that even if one wallet is compromised, the others remain secure. It's a good practice to prioritize the security of your funds by using unique passphrases.
