Is it possible to hold the same Bitcoin in two different accounts on the same exchange?

I'm curious if it's possible to have the same Bitcoin in two different accounts on the same exchange. For example, can I buy 1 Bitcoin on Binance and then transfer it to another account on Binance and have both accounts show 1 Bitcoin? Is this allowed by the exchange's policies and technical limitations?

No, it's not possible to hold the same Bitcoin in two different accounts on the same exchange. Each Bitcoin transaction is recorded on the blockchain, which is a public ledger. When you transfer Bitcoin from one account to another, the ownership of that Bitcoin is updated on the blockchain. Therefore, it's not possible to have the same Bitcoin in two different accounts at the same time.

Technically, it's not possible to hold the same Bitcoin in two different accounts on the same exchange. The blockchain ensures that each Bitcoin has a unique ownership record, and any attempt to duplicate or double-spend Bitcoin would be rejected by the network. So, even if you transfer Bitcoin from one account to another on the same exchange, the blockchain will reflect the updated ownership.

As an expert from BYDFi, I can confirm that it's not possible to hold the same Bitcoin in two different accounts on the same exchange. This is due to the nature of blockchain technology, which ensures the integrity and immutability of transactions. Once a Bitcoin is transferred from one account to another, the blockchain records the new ownership, making it impossible to have duplicate ownership of the same Bitcoin.
