- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, it is possible to trace a bitcoin transaction to some extent. Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public ledger called the blockchain, which allows anyone to view the transaction history. However, the identities of the sender and receiver are not directly linked to their bitcoin addresses. It is difficult to determine the real-world identity of a bitcoin user unless they reveal it themselves or their identity is somehow linked to their bitcoin address through other means. So while it is not completely anonymous, it is still relatively private compared to traditional financial transactions.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoAbsolutely! Bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous, meaning that they are not directly linked to real-world identities. Instead, transactions are associated with unique bitcoin addresses. However, it is important to note that if someone can link a bitcoin address to a specific individual, they can potentially trace their transactions. This is why it is recommended to use techniques such as mixing services or privacy coins to enhance anonymity when using bitcoin.
