These ETFs allow retail investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without having to directly own or store the cryptocurrency. Retail investors can invest in Bitcoin ETFs through their brokerage accounts, just like they would invest in any other ETF.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has not yet approved any Bitcoin ETFs for retail investors. However, there are several Bitcoin ETF applications currently under review by the SEC, and it is possible that a Bitcoin ETF may be approved in the future. In the meantime, retail investors can still invest in Bitcoin indirectly through other investment vehicles such as Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) or by purchasing Bitcoin directly on cryptocurrency exchanges.
