I recently installed Avast antivirus software on my computer, but I noticed that it keeps blocking cryptocurrency-related applications. Is there any way to prevent Avast from doing this? I don't want to disable the antivirus completely, but I also want to be able to use cryptocurrency applications without any issues.

- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, there are a few steps you can take to prevent Avast from blocking cryptocurrency-related applications. First, you can try adding the applications to Avast's exclusion list. This will tell Avast to ignore these specific applications and not block them. You can usually find the exclusion list in the settings or preferences section of the Avast software. Another option is to create a custom rule in Avast's firewall settings to allow the applications to access the internet without interference. If these options don't work, you can try contacting Avast's support team for further assistance.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoAbsolutely! Avast's blocking of cryptocurrency-related applications is likely due to its built-in security features. While these features are designed to protect your computer from potential threats, they can sometimes be overzealous in blocking legitimate applications. To prevent Avast from blocking cryptocurrency-related applications, you can try disabling specific security features that may be causing the issue. However, keep in mind that this may leave your computer more vulnerable to other types of threats. It's always a good idea to weigh the risks and benefits before making any changes to your antivirus settings.
- Dec 27, 2021 · 3 years agoAs an expert in the cryptocurrency industry, I understand the frustration of having Avast block cryptocurrency-related applications. However, as an employee of BYDFi, a cryptocurrency exchange, I would like to emphasize the importance of antivirus software in protecting your computer from potential threats. While it can be inconvenient, Avast's blocking of cryptocurrency-related applications is a security measure aimed at preventing malicious software from infecting your system. I would recommend reaching out to Avast's support team for assistance in finding a solution that balances both security and usability.
