- Dec 25, 2021 · 3 years agoBitcoin Cash has different ticker symbols on Coinbase and Binance due to historical reasons and conflicts within the cryptocurrency community. When Bitcoin Cash was created as a result of a hard fork from Bitcoin in 2017, there was a disagreement among exchanges on which ticker symbol to use. Coinbase decided to use BCH as the ticker symbol, while Binance chose BCC. This discrepancy has caused confusion among users, but it is important to note that both ticker symbols refer to the same cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash.
- Dec 25, 2021 · 3 years agoThe different ticker symbols for Bitcoin Cash on Coinbase (BCH) and Binance (BCC) can be attributed to the fact that each exchange has the freedom to choose their own ticker symbols. In this case, Coinbase and Binance made different choices. While it may seem confusing, it is important to understand that the ticker symbol itself does not affect the value or functionality of Bitcoin Cash. Regardless of the ticker symbol, users can still trade, send, and receive Bitcoin Cash on both exchanges.
- Dec 25, 2021 · 3 years agoBitcoin Cash is referred to as BCH on Coinbase and BCC on Binance due to the preferences of each exchange. Coinbase, being one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, decided to use BCH as the ticker symbol for Bitcoin Cash. On the other hand, Binance, another popular exchange, chose to use BCC. This difference in ticker symbols is not uncommon in the cryptocurrency industry, as different exchanges often have their own unique ticker symbols for the same cryptocurrency. It is important for users to be aware of these differences when trading or transferring Bitcoin Cash between exchanges.
